Because of the storm, the Rochester School District issued this statement:
Because of the weather forecast, all after-school activities and programs in the Rochester City School District for Monday, October 29 are cancelled. This includes all programs housed in RCSD schools. All students will be dismissed at the end of their regular day. Students who ride the bus home will be dropped off at their usual spot.
All student athletic and extra-curricular activities are canceled, including practices, meetings and rehearsals.
Students at Dr. Luther King Jr. School 9 will be dismissed at 4 p.m.
Students at Northeast College Prep will be dismissed at 3 p.m.
Students attending All City High will be dismissed at 2:15 p.m.
Young Adult Evening High School is canceled.
Please stay tuned to local news outlets for updates. Your school principal may be providing additional details for parents via robo call. The district’s website, www.rcsdk12.org, will also be updated regularly.
All after-school professional development is cancelled. The RTA professional development seminar on the Common Core is cancelled and will be rescheduled.
