University of Rochester security says that an Eastman  grad student was the victim of a strong arm robbery at about 3:00 o'clock on Wednesday affernoon.

The East End garage is right next to the music school campus.  Officials say the student was approached by a male on the ground level of the garage.  They say the suspect's face was covered by a stocking like material.  Police say he demanded some items and punched the student.

The suspect took off with a wallet and cell phone and was last seen running through the garage, getting out on Swan Street and then running toward East Main.

The  student went to the hospital just to be checked out.  University security and Rochester Police responded.

They used a tracking dog, but are still looking for the suspect and they are also reviewing video from cameras in the area.   Anyone with information is asked to call 911 .
