Rochester fire officials say an elderly man suffered life threatening injuries after a fire on Wilkins Street early Monday morning.

The call for the fire at 67 Wilkins came in just before 1:30 a.m..  The fire was on the second floor of the house and it was contained to that floor.

An 85 year old man was taken to Rochester General.  One firefighter was taken to the hospital with a non-life threatening injury.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
