Rochester Police say a man was shot early Sunday morning. An officer was near where the shooting happened at about 2:30 a.m. and saw a man running in the area of Lake and Ravine Avenues.

That man was identified as a 37 year old city resident who was shot multiple times in the upper body. Police say the shooting happened in the rear parking lot of 600 Lake Avenue.

The victim was taken to Strong and was in surgery early Sunday morning.
