State Police have charged a Wolcott man with sex crimes against children.

 They say that 44 year old Joseph Maxey is facing charges of rape and predatory sexual assault against a child. He allegedly had sexual contact with girls aged 12 and 14 beginning in 2007 and going on for years.

Officials say the incidents happened in the Clyde area in Wayne County.

 Maxey was ordered held without bail pending further court action.
