The Rochester Arson Task Force has charged a Penfield man with a felony arson count, accusing 61 year old Andrzej Gierczak with starting a fire in August on Emerson Street.

Gierczak allegedly started a fire on August 29th at a two family house at 593 Emerson Street.

When firefighters got there, they found flames coming out of the second floor windows. There were no injuries, but there was extensive damage to the building.

Gierczak was ordered held pending another court appearance.
