Orleans County say three people were injured after a crash in Kendall Thursday night.

They say a car traveling on Kendall Road driven by 21 year old Philip Collins of Holley crossed the center line into the path of another car. The driver of the other car, 32 year old James DuPont of Kendall was able to drive off the road to avoid a collision.

Moments later, Collins' vehicle failed to negotiate a curve and went off the road and struck a barn. Both the car and the barn were heavily damaged. One of the passengers in the car was trapped for about a half hour before being freed by firefighters.

Two passengers in that car along with Collins were treated at Strong Hospital. Collins is facing charges that include drunk driving and aggravated unlicensed operation.
