Rochester Police are investigating a crash on Mt. Hope Ave that happened Friday morning.
It happened around 3:30 a.m.
The car was headed north on Mt. Hope Ave when it flipped over and struck a tree near Linden St.
Police say the car was split in two.
The 22-year-old driver and 21-year-old passenger were taken to Strong Hospital with injuries described as non-life threatening. Police do not believe that alcohol was involved.
Police are still investigating but they say it's believed the driver fell asleep at the wheel and accelerated off the road. The men said they had just left their jobs when the accident happened.
Both men were wearing seat belts.
