Coming off a disappointing loss to the Jets the Buffalo Bills bounced back by beating Baltimore Ravens 23-20. The Bills defense came up big intercepting Joe Flacco five times. Rookie linebacker Kiko Alonzo recorded two picks including the one that sealed Sunday's win. The Bills turned Flacco’s five turnovers into 13 points
Alonzo has four ints on the season. The secondardy missing Stephon Gilmore, Jairus Byrd, Ron Brooks and Leodis McKelvin, played one their best game of the season. Aaron Williams, who has been starting at safety, moved to corner versus the Ravens and played his best game.
The Bills gashed the Ravens defense gaining 213 yards on the ground. For the Bills to win they must be able to run the ball.
The Ravens only ran the football nine times for 24 yards with a 2.7 average per carry. The Bills entered the game as the 30th-ranked run defense, giving up 155 yards per game. In the end Baltimore could not run the football nor stop the run. The Bilsl outplayed Baltimore right from the opening kickoff.
EJ Manuel was good and bad on Sunday. Made a lot of mistakes, but fortunatley Flacco made more.
The last time the Bills beat the defending Super Bowl champions was on September 22, 1996 at Rich Stadium with a 10-7 win over the Dallas Cowboys.
Buffalo visits Cleveland on Thursday.
