Jim Boeheim and his Syracuse were ranked number one actually during this season. Remember when they beat top ranked Louisvlle back in January while improving to 17-1. Now fast forward to March 12th and SU is 23-8 and struggling.

So what has gone wrong? The Orange arrive at their final Big East Tournament having dropped seven of their last 12 games.

  The Orange were crushed Saturday at Georgetown scoring only 39 points. 

Syracuse's 39 points are its fewest scored since a 36-35 win over Kent State on December 1, 1962.

   Lack of offense, poor shooting, lack of interest and effort has been on full display during the losing strech. Syracuse lacks heart, guts and character.

   Their leader Brandon Triche is a mess right now. Michael Carter Williams has not developed they way I thought he could through out the season and James Southerland has not been the same since returning from his suspension. The only steady player has been CJ Fair.

   Syracuse has lost 4 straight games vs ranked teams after winnings its first four. SU limps into the Big East Tournament. They will face the winner of South Florida/Seton Hall on Wednesday afternoon.

    Two years UConn arrived at the Big East Tourney struggling but rattled off five straight wins at the Garden then proceeeded to win six more on their way to winning the national title. I guess anything is possible.
