The Cleveland Browns beat the Bills despite a furious fourth-quarter rally from Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s staff. Buffalo lost out to Cleveland as "Draft Day" movie location.

The movie is to star Kevin Costner as a general manager trying to restore the team to past glory. Rahter than depicting the Bills, the movie will focus on the Browns. The big reason was there is a 35% tax deduction incentive for makiing the movie in Cleveland for Ohio crew members, 5% higher than New York State. A tough blow losing anything to Cleveland.

Shawne Merriman plans to file retirement paper. His decision comes a week before he was eligible to become a free agent. Merriman played in only  15 games over the past 2½ seasons for the Bills, recording two sacks, however he paid $8.75 million.

The 28-year-old three-time Pro Bowl linebacker signed with Bills following the the 2010 season to a two-year, $10.5 million extension that included $4.75 million in guaranteed money.  Merriman started five games and had one sack for the Bills in 2011 before he was placed on injured reserve due to an Achilles' injury. The Bills released Merriman last August, but re-signed midway through last season.
