  Ravens led 21-6 when Beyonce came out to perform a stunning halftime show then
opened the second half with a Super Bowl-record 108-yard kickoff return for a
touchdown from Jacoby Jones. This was the 10th time New Orleans hosted the big game, tying Miami for most in a city and first since Hurricane Katrina devastated the Big Easy in August 2005. However, last night's power outage was an embarrassing moment for the city.

   Play was stopped for 35 minutes which seemed to help settle down San Francisco. Colin Kaepernick, who engineered the Niners comeback by guiding the offense to three second-half touchdowns and a field goal, drove his team down to the Ravens' 5-yard line with two minutes to go. After two straight incompletions, his final pass to Michael Crabtree fell incomplete. Did Ravens corner Jimmy Smith interfere with Crabtree? Thats the debate, but I was pleased there was no flag.

   Last night the Ravens were better, on the field and the sidelines. Older brother John got the better of Jim. Flacco was better than Kaepernick.  

   The Ravens are the first AFC team to win the Super Bowl since the Pittsburgh Steelers, while the Niners join the Dallas Cowboys from Super Bowl 13 to score 31 points and lose in the big game.
