Could a Live-Action "Star Wars" Show Be Coming to ABC?

There's been some talk over the years about a live-action "Star Wars" TV show, but nothing ever got off the ground.  Well, now that Disney controls Lucasfilm . . . the project may finally get rolling at ABC, which is also owned by Disney.

A suit at ABC says, quote, "We'd love to do something . . . [but] we're not sure what yet . . . we're going to look at [it], and see what's right.  We weren't able to discuss this with them until [the acquisition] closed and it just closed.

"It's definitely going to be part of the conversation."

One of the main obstacles before now was COST.  Some estimates projected the budget for a live-action "Star Wars" show to be more than $5 million PER EPISODE.

But since Disney owns ABC and "Star Wars", some of the costs, like licensing, would be eliminated . . . and they'd be able to keep basically ALL the profits on stuff like DVDs and merchandise in-house.

Politician suggests going green by going yellow in the shower

If only George Costanza had lived in the Netherlands. A city councilman in the town of Aa en Hunze is encouraging residents to pee in the shower in order to conserve water.

"[Urinating in the shower] saves lots of clean water and is good for the environment," Bert Wassink said. "If you combine showers and peeing, you save a lot of water and money, so why not?" Wassink is a member of GroenLinks, a super-green party, and was quick to point out that he's No. 1 when it comes to conservation. (In other words, he already does some bathroom multitasking). Sorry, George, but your health club peeing incident was just way ahead of its time.

If you want other people to trust you, it helps to have brown eyes

Gaze deep into the eyes of the person you're talking to. Do you trust them? Chances are, if they have brown eyes you'll find their overall facial features to be more trustworthy than if their eyes were blue, according to researchers at Charles University in Prague.
However, when another group of vlunteers saw pictures of men with brown eyes and blue eyes, the brown-eyed men were still reported as looking more trustworthy, but researchers say the key features that indicated trustworthiness did not necessarily include eye color. Brown-eyed men often shared facial features like rounder faces, broader jaws and larger eyes — qualities that seemed more masculine. On the other hand, men with blue eyes were said to have facial features that made them seem "shifty."
