MICHAEL RICHARDS: Lands TV Land Sitcom

Michael Richards is heading back to TV.

The comic-actor who made his mark as the weirdly neurotic Kramer on Seinfeld has a deal with TV Land to join Cheers alumni Kirstie Alley and Rhea Perlman in Giant Baby. It will be his first foray into television since that racist meltdown he had while doing standup in 2006. The plot centers on Alley, who plays a Broadway actress reunited with the son she gave up for adoption after his adopted mother dies. Richards has been cast as Alley's limo driver and Perlman as her long-suffering personal assistant and pal.

No word on when Giant Baby will join the TV Land lineup.
