Can depression be cured by the world's longest waterslide?

Can a waterslide that stretches almost half a mile help people overcome depression? Jimi Hunt and Daniel Drupsteen hope it can. The two New Zealand natives plan to build the world's longest waterslide in order to raise awareness for Live More Awesome, their charity that helps those who suffer from depression.

The 2,133 foot long slide — which they promise will be "epic" — will be unveiled outside of Auckland at the end of February, as part of a two-day festival to benefit Live More Awesome. "It's things like this that actually inspire people to go and talk about [depression], to go ask for help, to know that it can be done," Hunt said.
