After a scoreless first quarter, the second started with a decent drive from an EJ Manuel led Bills offense. After a couple passes to WR Chris Hogan, and a nice toss to WR Marquise Goodwin, the Bills set up a 40-yard FG attempt for Dan Carpenter. His leg beat the wind, and gave the Bills a 3-0 lead. The Jets would go three-and-out, giving the Buffalo the ball back. After crossing midfield, the Bills were set to punt when the Jets jumped offside giving Buffalo a second chance. EJ Manuel then connected with TJ Graham for a 34 yard pass to put the Bills up 10-0.
The Bills defense put pressure on Geno Smith on the ensuing Jets drive and forced the football loose and jumped on it to give the Bills the ball back. FB Frank "The Tank" Summers would go on to punch it in to give the Bills 7 more points and a 17-0 lead.
The Jets looking to somehow rebound, just couldn't. Smith on the third play of the next drive threw a horrible pass right into the hands of Jarius Byrd. The Bills would tack on a field goal after the turnover and build their lead to 20-0.
