RPD: Murder Parolee Broke into Scrantom St. Homes, Laid Next to Child

A man on parole for a 1993 murder has been arrested for break-ins at two homes on Scrantom Street, on Rochester's north side.

City police say 50-year-old Laurice Howard broke a window at a house before dawn yesterday, got inside and laid down next to a child on the couch.

The people there chased him away, but police say he kicked in a door to get inside a house down the street, and police arrested him there.

Howard is charged with two counts of Burglary , two counts of Criminal Mischief and Petit Larceny
