Former Irondequoit Police Chief's Business Partner Guilty of Tax Fraud

A man who co-owned a security business with former Irondequoit Police Chief Alan Laird has pleaded guilty to charges he and his partner defrauded the Internal Revenue Service.

As first reported by the D&C, Steven Rosenbaum identified his business co-owner as a co-conspirator.

The partner is identified as "A.L.," though prosecutors won't say if A.L. is Laird, or whether they are discussing a plea deal with that person.

The security business, known as Swoop 1, was accused of failing to report income subject to hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxes.
