Rochester Man Sentenced in Fatal Shooting of Teen

A Rochester man will serve 25-years-to-life on a murder charge in a shooting that killed a teenager two years ago.

Police say 33-year-old Douglas Smith showed up at a cookout at a stranger's home on Hague Street and got into an argument with a guest that escalated into a gunfight.

16-year-old Manuel Rivera was killed in the crossfire.

The other man involved in the gunfight, Johnny Rodriguez, pleaded guilty to a gun crime, and will be sentenced later this month.
