The tour boat that capsized Monday at Lockport Cave has capsized before.
The Buffalo News reports the boat flipped over eight years ago, but no one was seriously hurt.
A woman who was on that tour in 2015 says passengers were on their own getting to safety, and she was reimbursed for lost belongings.
A man died and 11 others were hurt when the boat capsized this week.
City officials in Lockport had said Monday that the ride had operated without problems since in opened in the 1970s.
