New York State COVID Cases Declining

COVID case numbers in New York are falling.

The state reported around 29-thousand cases in the past week. That's down 9 percent from the week before.

The national case numbers are dropping even faster -- down 17 percent in one week.

Regulators have approved new boosters that target the new omicron subvariants.

The state will begin pushing today for New Yorkers ages 12 and over to get the booster.
