Disturbing Video Posted By Student From Pittsford Sutherland High School

A Monroe County Sheriff's deputy will be stationed at Pittsford Sutherland High School following the discovery of a video that authorities call disturbing.

Investigators believe the video is months old and a weapon seen in the video is an air-soft gun and not a threat.

In a letter to parents, the Pittsford superintendent said the video is racist and its discovery coincides with more racist incidents last week, mostly occurring outside of school.

Deputies have interviewed the family of the student who circulated the video, and the family is cooperating,

The sheriff's office does not believe there is a credible safety threat, but having a deputy at the school for the next few days will provide a sense of security.

The School District is working to take corrective actions with the student and any others who may be involved.
