Rochester firefighters say no one was hurt when a fire started in a trash compactor at a high-rise apartment building.
It happened around 8:30 last night at the Winton Garden Apartments on East Main Street.
Smoke on the first floor spread through all 11 floors of the building.
The building was ventilated and the residents were allowed to return.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
