Teachers Union Pushes Back at Plans to Resume In-Person Learning

The Rochester teachers union is pushing back at the district's plans to resume in-person learning.

During last night's school board meeting the teachers said the plan isn't safe. They want to be vaccinated for COVID before in-person classes resume and they claim the district hasn't worked out some details of its safety plans.

The district has been on fully remote learning since last spring, and is scheduled to move to hybrid instruction in the next two weeks.

Health officials and the school district say in-person classes are safe.
