Gov. Cuomo Addresses Concerns About Plan for Vaccine Rollout

Governor Cuomo says he's worried the coronavirus vaccine won't be properly distributed to certain communities.

Cuomo sent a letter to President Trump, President-elect Joe Biden, and members of Congress detailing his concerns.

He outlined a list of several concerns he has about a vaccine rollout, arguing that the existing federal plan doesn't provide enough money to states. He also says that there's no plan specifically for poorer communities of color.

Finally, Cuomo says the federal government requiring information like social security numbers could exclude people who illegally immigrated to the U.S., comparing it to his fight over driver's licenses.

He adds the process could also be a back-channel toward exposing people who entered the country illegally.
