373 New COVID-19 Cases in Monroe County, 4 Deaths

Another record number of single day COVID-19 cases in Monroe County.

Monroe County Health Commissioner Dr. Michael Mendoza says the latest COVID numbers aren't good. The county today reported 373 new cases and four additional deaths, bringing the death toll to 313.

Mendoza says about 31 percent of people in the hospital right now are under the age of 60. He says this represents early indications of a problem.

Mendoza says despite that -- there is some positive news: He says testing in schools seems to be going well, and the prevalence of COVID in schools seems to be very low.
