Monroe County Receives More Absentee Ballots

The Monroe County Board of Elections says it received another 816 absentee election ballots yesterday, pushing the total number received to close to 102,000.

That's about 75 percent of the absentee ballots that were sent out.

Half are from Democrats, about a quarter are from Republicans and about a quarter are from voters registered with no party or with a minor party.

The ballots will decide several close election races.

The counting will start November 16.
