Officer Struck in the Face During Arrest on North Clinton Avenue

Rochester Police say an officer was injured after being struck in the face with an object why trying to take a suspect into custody.

Police say officers were called to the 800 block of North Clinton Avenue around 3 o’clock this afternoon for the report of suspicious activity. After arriving on scene they encountered a man with a gun who fought with officers. After a brief struggle the man was taken into custody.

During the struggle, another man threw the object at the officer than ran, but was taken into custody on Evergreen Terrace.

Police say Kadeem Pryor is charged with criminal possession of a weapon and resisting arrest. Calvin Campbell is charged with assault.
