Support Staff Calling for RCSD to Hold Off on Layoffs

The union representing support staff in the Rochester School District says staffers can still do important jobs and shouldn't be laid off.

Union head Daniel DiClemente says the union has a plan to put staffers to work while kids are learning remotely.

He says school safety officers can visit homes to make sure students know how to use their Chrome books, and he says staff can deliver hot meals to students too far away to pick up a cold sandwich.

The union will hold a rally tomorrow.
