A state lawmaker from Long Island is pushing for a statewide bill that would allow businesses to require face masks in the battle against COVID-19.
State Senator Todd Kaminsky says it would help stop phony "face mask exempt cards" that are being sold.
Kaminsky says having a law on the books would show the importance of wearing a mask.
Governor Cuomo has signed an executive order authorizing businesses to deny entry to those who do not wear masks or face-coverings.
