Chris Collins Hopes To Delay Start Of Prison Sentence

Former Congressman Chris Collins is hoping to put off the start of his prison stretch.

His lawyers have sent a letter the court asking that Collins report on April 21, instead of March 17.

The attorneys are concerned Collins may not be processed into the Bureau of Prisons system in time for the March reporting date.

Collins was sentenced in January to a little more than two years in prison for insider trading and lying to the FBI.

He also was ordered to pay a $200,000 fine.
