Police Accountability Board Faces Injunction

Rochester's new Police Accountability Board has, at least temporarily, lost its authority to discipline police officers.

A judge yesterday approved an injunction that suspends the board’s disciplinary power until a lawsuit by the patrol officers' union can be resolved in court.

Board member Celia McIntosh says the injunction won't stop the board's other work.

The City Council approved the nine board members last week.

The board met for the first time last night.
