GOP Leaders Endorse Chris Jacobs for 27th District Congressional Seat

Republican Party chairs from New York's 27th Congressional District have endorsed State Senator Chris Jacobs of Buffalo as their candidate for the Congressional seat formerly held by Chris Collins. They met in Buffalo on Saturday.

Jacobs says he's honored to have the endorsement and will be a strong advocate for Western New York in Congress.

Republican leaders said in a statement they interviewed several candidates including State Senator Robert Ortt before endorsing Jacobs.

Democrats have not yet endorsed a candidate, but may chose Grand Island Town Supervisor Nate McMurray, who narrowly lost to Chris Collins in 2018.
