Guilty Plea For Man In Fatal Wyoming County Crash

The man who was accused of causing a crash that killed three people in Wyoming County this spring, is pleading guilty to the crime.

Richard Sawicki pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicular homicide and four counts of assault.

Authorities say he was speeding on Maxon Road in Sheldon when he ran a stop sign at the intersection with Route 20A, and slammed into an SUV carrying a family of nine.

Two adult women were ejected from the SUV and pronounced dead at the scene.

One four-year-old died later of head injuries at Wyoming Community Hospital.

Sawicki faces eight and a third to 25 years in prison when he is sentenced in February.
