Fine Issued For Failure To Inspect, Maintain Grease Trap

Regulators are fining the management company that runs the Rochester donut shop where a three year old died in a grease trap this summer.

OSHA is fining Ninety Rock Management, LLC more than 86 hundred dollars for “failure to inspect and maintain" safe working conditions, including surfaces that may be walked on.

Investigators say the boy -- Bryce Raynor -- was standing on top of the grease trap behind a Tim Hortons shop when the lid collapsed and he fell in.

Police didn't file any criminal charges.

The boy's mother -- Tenetia Cullum -- has filed a notice of claim against the city, and the county, for negligence for failing to maintain or inspect the grease traps.
