Bishop Speaks With Clergy Sex Abuse Survivors

Over an emotional five hours, Roman Catholic Bishop Salvatore Matano spoke Thursday with survivors of clergy sex abuse as part of a larger process to settle claims against the Diocese of Rochester.

The meetings at Federal Bankruptcy Court in Rochester put the bishop and the survivors face-to-face. Bishop Matano repeatedly apologized as victims recounted what happened to them and asked the bishop what he's doing to protect today's children.
