Rochester firefighters doused flames in a two-and-a-half story house on Parsells Avenue Tuesday afternoon. The Fire Department says all the occupants were safely out of the house when firefighters got there.
The fire started on the rear of the second floor and caused extensive damage to the entire house. The Red Cross is working with the occupants to provide emergency housing.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
