Jury Selection Begins in 2003 Xerox Federal Credit Union Trial

Jury selection is expected to begin today in Rochester for the trial of Richard Wilbern -- the man arrested three years ago for the 2003 robbery and murder at the Xerox Federal Credit Union in Webster.

The robber was wearing an FBI jacket and told bank employees he was doing a security check. He then displayed two guns and demanded money from an employee.

Authorities say customer Raymond Batzel refused an order to get on the floor and was shot and killed. Another customer was wounded.

Investigators linked DNA on an umbrella left at the scene to DNA on an envelope Wilbern licked while cooperating with an investigation of his former landlord.
