Voters in Irondequoit have narrowly approved the community center bond referendum.
About 4,700 ballots were cast, and the measure passed with 53 percent of the vote.
The Town will borrow up to $7.2 million for the $9 million renovation project at Skyview on the Ridge, the former Medley Centre mall. Plans call for meeting rooms, a common area, walking track and fitness center.
The renovations are expected to start early next year and take about a year.
