Governor Cuomo has signed into law new protections for an estimated 100,000 farm workers in New York State.
He says they will now have the same rights that other workers have had for decades. The Bill lets farm workers get unemployment benefits, workers' compensation, overtime pay and paid family leave.
Farm workers now also will be able to be represented by unions.
