State Lawmakers Have Three Days Left in Legislative Session

There are three working days left this year for the New York State Legislature.

The deadline is Wednesday night for final action on legislation legalizing marijuana, and driver's licenses for illegal immigrants.

Legislative leaders were said to be meeting in private over the weekend to work out the language for the marijuana bill.

And The Wall Street Journal reports the Senate will vote this week on the driver's license bill, which already passed the Assembly.

Governor Cuomo also wants lawmakers to extend the statute of limitations for second- and third-degree rape prosecutions.
