Irondequoit Man Facing Federal Child Pornography Charges

An Irondequoit man is facing federal child porn charges after authorities say he was taking photos of a minor that was living with him for several years.

Federal prosecutors say 48-year-old Sean Sullivan was identified by the FBI in connection with a child pornography investigation over a peer to peer network.

Last month, investigators executed a search warrant at Sullivan’s home and found several devices that had dozens of images and videos of child pornography.

Prosecutors say Sullivan likely drugged the victim to create several of the images and videos.

He is charged with production and possession of child pornography. The charges carry a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in prison, a maximum of 40 years, and a fine of $250,000 fine.
