Rochester Man Indicted on Charges for Deadly October Stabbing

A Rochester man who was arrested last month on a murder charge has been indicted instead on the less serious charge of manslaughter.

Twenty-three-year-old Luis Souclat-Vega is accused of stabbing 49-year-old Alexander Baez on October 8 on Hoeltzer Street. Baez was found with stab wounds a few blocks away and he died at the hospital.

The grand jury indictment also charges him with a drug possession charge.
