The funeral is being held today for state Trooper Jeremy VanNostrand.
The service is set for a church in Schenectady. VanNostrand was in his personal vehicle, waiting to turn into the state police barracks in Montgomery County last week, when he was rear-ended by a box truck. The impact sent his vehicle into traffic, where it was hit by a pickup truck.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
