For Monroe County Democrats, last night's vote count went pretty much as they expected.
Assemblyman Joe Morelle was elected to Congress over Republican Dr. Jim Maxwell.
Democrat Jen Lunsford came within a few thousand votes of beating State Senator Rich Funke in the 55th Senate District. The race was close enough that Lunsford did not concede, right away but did this morning.
Democrat Julie Domaratz was elected Mayor of Fairport.
