Two people have been shot and killed on Carlton Street in Sodus. Deputies and State Troopers are investigating. The incident took place near the Sodus Central School District, which locked down its campus.
Students were allowed to go home at 4:30, but not to walk home because of the ongoing investigation.
WHAM 1180's Bob Lonsberry reports the victims are the parents of a grade-schooler.
A statement from the Wayne County Sheriff's Office says they're searching for an unidentified suspect who has not been apprehended. They're advising nearby residents to shelter in place.
A large part of the village has been shut down for the investigation.
