The average price for a gallon of regular gasoline in the Rochester region has dropped another penny since last week to $2.94.
The statewide average fell two cents to $2.98 -- 33 cents higher than this time last year.
AAA says prices are edging lower but motorists are still waiting for a larger drop that typically happens in the fall. Rising oil prices and tensions with Iran have affected gas prices this season.
