UR Medicine is looking at putting a new orthopedic center in Henrietta, possibly at Marketplace Mall.
UR Medicine says demand in the area for orthopedic services is growing, but the site selection process is in the early stages.
Henrietta Town Supervisor Stephen Schultz says another possible site is a vacant parking lot near the corner of Hylan Drive and Calkins Road. And he says it could provide hundreds of jobs.
There was word during the winter that IKEA was interested in coming to the mall, but the company said last month it had no plans for a store in the Rochester area.
