Geneva Man Charged After Dog Dies in Hot Car

A Geneva man facing a charge of aggravated cruelty to an animal after his dog died in a hot car. 

The Ontario County Humane Society and Geneva Police say the 5-year-old Boxer mix was found dead in the car on North Street on Wednesday. Police say Roger Chilson left his car parked in his driveway for just under an hour, not running, in direct sunlight with little ventilation. 

Authorities say temperatures inside the vehicle rose past 110 degrees.
