Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo and Rochester Red Wings president and CEO Naomi Silver announced a deal for a lease of Frontier Field. Under the terms of the agreement, Rochester Community Baseball will provide Monroe County $100,000 in rent each year. The new agreement will be in place for 10 years after it is ratified by the Monroe County Legislature. Last week, the International League set a deadline of March 1 for the county and team to agree upon terms of a lease, which has to be approved by the County Legislature. If not, the team would have to play elsewhere.
